Kerry

Practice Manager
At Woodside since 1992

Kerry has worked at Woodside Animal Hospital since graduating from Pierce College in 1992. She has worked many years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, now her primary job is as our Practice Manager. Kerry remembers many milestones in her life she has gone through while working here at Woodside, from turning 21 to getting married and having children. She feels Woodside has been a part of her life for such a long time and it will always be her home. Kerry and her husband Chuck have two boys, Trevor and Jared. They enjoy camping, quad riding, and playing outside. When Kerry can find the time, she enjoys scrapbooking and gardening. Almost every pet Kerry has owned has been one she adopted through working at Woodside. She currently has a Doberman named Roxy, a mix-breed dog named Buddy, and two cats named by her son: Cookie Monster and Abby Cadabby. Kerry's job as practice manager includes several things; among them are helping to ensure the best customer service possible with extensive training and follow up training with employees, helping to ensure quality patient care, inventory management, and trying to maintain a healthy and happy working environment for our staff. It is Kerry's goal to maintain a high quality, efficient animal hospital that cares for our community's pets as if they were our own.

Melissa

Melissa 

Lead Licensed Technician
At Woodside Since 2011

Melissa was raised in Allyn, Washington. Her love for animals started when she was very young, which led her to join 4-H. She graduated from Pierce College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2000. Since then, she has worked with animal rescues, shelters, and private practices. Melissa has dogs, cats, and parrots; with a preference for cats. Melissa is a great technician with a big heart. She has become a very valuable part of our team and is unofficially known as "the organizer". Her efforts in organizing and cleaning help keep us in top shape, ensuring that we are always in order and ready for the next patient. When Melissa is not working at Woodside Animal Hospital, she is working at her boyfriends' nursery or volunteering with botanical groups like Rare Care Plant Conservation, Native Plant Alliance, or Washington Native Orchid Society. If she has free time, she enjoys petroglyph photography and hiking.

 

 

 

 

Brynn

Brynn

Licensed Technician

Brynn was born and raised in Gig Harbor and is a 1999 Graduate of Gig Harbor High School. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2002. She graduated from Pierce College Veterinary Technology in 2007 and has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Woodside Animal Hospital ever since. We are fortunate to have had Brynn as part of our team since she started her career as an LVT. She is a stellar technician who takes her job very seriously and still is able to be a fun-loving, animal loving person who likes to laugh and have a good time while she works. She enjoys working with dogs and cats, but also likes and has experience working with exotic pets and small ruminants. Brynn was married in 2011 to her long time boyfriend and best friend and is LOVING married life! She also looks forward to spending time with her 3 nephews, 2 nieces, and one on-the-way. In her spare time, Brynn enjoys walking with her mom, traveling, camping, kayaking, skiing, cooking; and watching her 2 cats, 6 hens, 2 pullets, and her rooster known as Foghorn grow up.

 

Indy

Indy has loved animals ever since she was a little girl and has always aspired to work with animals. She grew up in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 2011. Recently Indy graduated from Pierce College with a degree in Veterinary Technology as of June 2015. Before graduating from Pierce, Indy volunteered at Woodside Animal Hospital for a few weeks before she started training as a part-time Veterinary Assistant and continued on as a Veterinary Assistant for 4 years. We value Indy’s ability to keep the entire team on schedule with her contagious motivation!   Indy enjoys spending her free time with her Bernese Mountain Dog named Eiger. She also likes to spend outdoors camping, hiking, traveling, and kayaking. We are so glad to have Indy as a part of the team as one of our newest Technicians! 

 

 

 

Nancy

Nancy was born in California and raised in Renton, Washington. Nancy’s passion for animals started young. While she was in high school, Nancy volunteered at the Humane Society and worked as a Kennel Attendant. Once she was done with high school, Nancy attended Brigham Young University and graduated with her degree in Veterinary Technology and a Bachelors of Science. We value Nancy’s eagerness to help whenever and wherever needed! Nancy has a strong passion for pain management and creating low stress visits for clients and patients. When Nancy is not with us at Woodside, she is spending time with her husband and two sons. In addition, Nancy owns two cats, Grimm and Sam. 

 

 

 

Jade -LVT

Licensed Technician
At Woodside since 2015 

Jade was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. She grew up in a military family and has lived in a variety of places including Germany. Jade entered the animal industry by working as a Kennel Attendant and excelled to become a Veterinary Assistant. After 5 years of being a Veterinary Assistant,  Jade became a Veterinary Technician in 2008. We are glad that Jade is a part of team! She is a skilled technician, who encourages everyone on our team and inspires them to be the best they can.  In her spare time, Jade enjoys spending time with her son and boyfriend along with her two Basenjis, Marvin and Hitch, cat, Gladys, and her leopard gecko, Leo. In addition, Jade enjoys doing foster work with a national Basenji rescue, spending time with her family, and reading.

Carol

Carol 

Veterinary Assistant 
At Woodside since 2015

Originally from Indiana, Carol moved to Washington State in 2011 with her husband and daughter. Carol's passion for animals increased her desire to work with animals. Her career as Veterinary Assistant started back in 2006 and she has loved every moment of it! In addition to being one of our Assistants, Carol is our Kennel Manger. Carol has a fun loving personality and provides dedication and organization to our team.Carol has a passion for feline care in particular. Outside of the Woodside family, Carol and her husband have two children. Included in her family are her three cats, Badger, Pergo, and Rebel, and her dog, Sky.In Carol’s free time, she enjoys bowling, karaoke, and a variety of outdoor activities.  

 

Cheyanne

Veterinary Assistant
At Woodside since 2015

When Cheyanne is not spending time with animals, she is dedicating time to her studies, enjoys spending with her family, playing soccer, and enjoys music. Cheyanne has three dogs: Rhodie, Axel, and Tess and, two rabbits: Tauriel and Buttercup, as well as one cat named Mushu. Currently, Cheyanne is pursuing her bachelors degree in Natural Science & Mathematics and plans to graduate in 2017. Born and raised in Port Orchard, Cheyanne would not imagine living anywhere else! Cheyanne’s love for animals started when she joined 4-H as an adolescent. Since 4-H, she has grown to love the Basset Hound breed and shows Basset Hounds in the American Kennel Club. Cheyanne loves being able to provide quality and passionate care for our patients and loves engaging with patients and their owners. In addition to being a Veterinary Assistant, Cheyanne is in charge of our advertising and social media.

  

NICOLE 

Veterinary Assistant

Originally from Colorado, Nicole was raised in Washington State and has been here ever since. Before becoming a Veterinary Assistant, Nicole was one of our highly valued Kennel Attendants and has devoted numerous hours of volunteer work in a cat shelter.  Recently, Nicole is a graduate from Animal Behavior College with a degree in Veterinary Assistant. Nicole is very sensitive to each patient’s needs and strives to go above and beyond for each patient. Outside of the clinic, Nicole is busy studying or dabbling her in photography skills. Nicole has two furry companions, Klaus the Pomeranian and Eva the cat.

Front Office Manager/Reception

Anna was born in El Paso, Texas and had the great fortune to travel the world with her family while her dad was in the military. He retired in 1995 here in Washington, where they then settled down in Port Orchard. Anna is a mother of 3 boys (Damien, Seth, and Isaac), 3 cats (Dinah, Mimzy and Fonzi) and one crazy dog (Niv). Adam, her husband and her have been married for 10 years. Anna started working as an entry level receptionist at Woodside Animal Hospital in 2006. Her greatest strengths are her attention to detail, drive, and leadership, which has advanced her into the role of front office manager. As a child, she always dreamed of working with animals. Through her life experiences, she realized that she loved working with people just as much. She feels that, as front office manager at Woodside Animal Hospital, she gets the best of both worlds. Anna states, "I am truly blessed to work with the people here. We take pride in what we do and our love for animals shines through in the quality of care we give to each and every one of our patients."

 

Ashlee

 Ashlee was born in Beaverton, Oregon and moved to Washington when she was a young adult.  Ashlee strives to make each experience for every client a positive experience and strives to meet everyone’s needs. Before Ashlee came to Woodside, she worked closely with elderly patients in the memory care ward. She was even awarded a Peacock Pin, an award given to individuals who go above and beyond to serve their memory care patients. Her experience at the memory care ward makes her an ideal candidate for providing the best care for our clients and patients.  Ashlee is known for her passion for Harry Potter.  She owns two dogs, Mila and Holly and four cats, Izabella, Buddy, K.J, and Peanut. We want to congratulate our "Harry Potter fanatic" on her engagement to her boyfriend as of 2016!

Cindi has lived in Washington her entire life and would not dream of living anywhere else! She has been married to her husband, Brent since 2009 and they have a boy, Casey and a daughter Hailey. She has a cat named Milkshake and a Pitbull mix named Chloe. Her methodical personality is a necessity when it comes to maintaining consistency in our patient care procedures. In her spare time, Cindi enjoys cooking, baking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. She has been working at Woodside Animal Hospital since 2008 and she loves her job.

 

Kayleigh

Kayleigh was born and raised in Washington and loves living here! Kayleigh has a drive to provide impeccable care for our clients and their pets and that drive shines through in her  everyday! With that passion, Kayleigh is not only a receptionist but she is also trained as a Veterinary Assistant and is eager to step in as a Veterinary Assistant when needed. When Kayleigh is not dedicating her time to our clients and patients at Woodside, she enjoys cooking, fishing, hiking, and camping. Even better, Kayleigh loves being a mother of her two sons, DeVaughn and Kaiden. Kayleigh adores her Pit bull, Tiny (who is anything BUT tiny!).

Working with animals has had a passion of Maya’s ever since she visited  another veterinary clinic when she was eight years old! Maya calls Washington her home; being born and raised in Gig Harbor. With her passion for animals and having an Associates degree as Medical Office Professional, Maya has found her niche in life at Woodside Animal Hospital! With her detail-oriented personality, Maya is eager to meet each client’s and patient’s needs and is dedicated to finding best option for everyone! Some of Maya’s favorite pastimes include swimming and cuddling with her cat. Maya also enjoys spending time with her family, anything involving mermaids and watching Shark Week.
